Reading Challenges 2022
This year instead of just setting out a book/page count goal, I'm also going to be doing some challenges provided by the StoryGraph.
Goals
This year I want to read 150 books, and 50000 pages.
Challenges
The StoryGraph's Onboarding Reading Challenge 2022
A low-pressure challenge of 6 prompts designed to encourage exploration of the app and it's features.
1. Read a book which fits all of the criteria from your reading profile
2. Read a book from the Five-Star section of someone from Similar Users
3. Read a random pick
4. Read a book from your 7th most-read genre in your All Time stats
5. Read a book on your TBR by one of your most-featured authors
6. Read a book from the Popular This Week page
The StoryGraph's Genre Challenge 2022
A ten prompt challenge designed to help explore genres you may otherwise not read.
1. A romance novel by a Black author
2. An essay collection by a new-to-you author
3. A classic by an author of colour
4. A memoir or autobiography by a trans/non-binary author
5. A play published after 1980
6. A non-fiction book about nature
7. A cosy mystery novel

10. A non-fiction book about politics outside your home country
The StoryGraph Reads the World 2022
A 10 prompt challenge designed to broaden your reading horizons by touring you through the books of ten different countries. Books should be written by an author from that country that is set in that country.
1. Brazil
2. Haiti
3. India
4. New Zealand
5. Palestine
6. Russia
7. South Korea
8. Turkey
9. Vietnam
10. Zimbabwe
So that's what I'll be reading this year. See you at the end of the year where I'll tell you how I did and what books I read for these challenges!
