Haven't been here for a while, so I thought I'd give an update on what I've been up to.

I know I'm supposed to be doing MilWordY, but I'm kind of on a writing break right now. Forcing myself to write when I wasn't feeling it wasn't really working out, and I've kind of got a new project taking up my time. I also decided to put a pause on doing my book reports because it's affecting how much reading I get done. Turns out when you have to take notes and write a big thing about the book, reading starts to become work. So I'm just going to read for fun for the time being.

Anyways, new project: I've decided to start a youtube channel. It's just a dumb little Let's Play channel but that's what I like to watch and what seemed the most fun for me to create. There's nothing up right now, I am wanting to stock up about 15 videos before I officially launch so that I can post on a consistent schedule at least for the first bit. If I keep up my rate of video making, I can launch my channel on May 2nd! Fingers crossed for that! I don't expect to be successful, nor is that my goal. I just want to have another creative outlet and learn new skills and have fun, and having fun I am doing!

Anyways, that's it from me. Since this blog kind of revolves around my writing, my writing break is kind of why I've been absent for a while. Hope you are all doing well!

2024 DreamWidth Plans

Been thinking about what I want to do with my journal in the new year. There's a few things I want to start doing. It is possibly too much but I guess I can always drop some stuff. Here's what I'm thinking:

So I spent a few hours picking a new theme for my journal and tweaking it so it was just right... and then the icons started to look out of place... so I spent a few hours making a new set of icons that matched and blended in with my theme... and then I figured out how to add images and made a cute graphic for my header. And then I had to go be annoying and show it to everyone. Including this. I am being very annoying about this.

So my blog is adorable and very matchy, and I love it, but also I have gotten no real work done today. Procrastination at its best! xD

I would like some feedback on one thing though-- I made the header graphic a brighter cyan than the icons, which are the same colour as the text and borders. Would it be better to: 1. Make the icons brighter to match the header 2. Darken the header to the same shade as the icons, text, and boarders, or, 3. Leave it as it is?
