About Me
I love Star Trek! A lot! It's not my first fandom, but it's the first one I've been this active in and cared so much about. Star Trek and I are in a monogamous relationship so you're unlikely to see me talk about or write fic for anything else unless it's for the memes. I've been slowly making my way through Star Trek in chronological order (more or less, I am not switching back and forth between shows that were airing at the same time) and so far I have only seen TOS, TAS, the TOS movies, and most of TNG (currently on season 5). Oh and I've also seen the AOS films, those were basically my introduction to Star Trek while they were coming out in theatres. I've absorbed a lot about the other shows via osmosis and know enough to already call myself a fan of DS9 and Voyager. The new shows scare me (except for the animated ones) but that's all I'll say about that.
I've been writing fanfiction for a year and I would make fanart if I could draw (my high school art skills have degraded more with each passing year) and I like making Star Trek memes, most of which are on my tumblr (that I'm on an indefinite hiatus from). I also like going to library book sales and used book stores for Star Trek paperbacks to build my collection!
I read a lot, I love books, I work in a library, and I used to be a musician but I burnt myself out so it's been a while since I have done anything musical. I also enjoy knitting but I only do it in the winter so I always have a half finished project hanging around for half a year because it gets warm before I can finish it.
I live with an ever-growing assortment of houseplants and a hungry poltergeist giant fluffy cat who is my very best friend in the whole world even though she yodels at four AM and barfs a lot.

Images
I will always put images behind a cut so they aren't making people's reading pages load forever. I do my best to provide image IDs in the Alt Text of any images I use. If you are using the image IDs and I've worded something poorly, let me know so I can improve it! Also if your screen reader has trouble with the alt text, let me know and I'll start including an image ID outside the image as well.
Mobile Devices
My journal doesn't look very good in mobile view. The two sidebars appear at the bottom of the page after all the posts, which makes navigation harder. Using desktop view on mobile devices is usable, but there are some UI issues like graphics colliding with text and making it hard to read, and Image IDs appearing in a larger font than they would on desktop. Apologies to mobile users, but this journal is best viewed on desktop or laptop!
