Customization is a blessing and a curse

So I spent a few hours picking a new theme for my journal and tweaking it so it was just right... and then the icons started to look out of place... so I spent a few hours making a new set of icons that matched and blended in with my theme... and then I figured out how to add images and made a cute graphic for my header. And then I had to go be annoying and show it to everyone. Including this. I am being very annoying about this.

So my blog is adorable and very matchy, and I love it, but also I have gotten no real work done today. Procrastination at its best! xD

I would like some feedback on one thing though-- I made the header graphic a brighter cyan than the icons, which are the same colour as the text and borders. Would it be better to: 1. Make the icons brighter to match the header 2. Darken the header to the same shade as the icons, text, and boarders, or, 3. Leave it as it is?

It’s not annoying, it’s awesome work and you should show it off. :)

For the header, I would match it to the icons. One thing though, for me on mobile at least I can’t really read the text on the header image because the colors are so close. It might just be mobile being wonky but I figured I’d let you know.

I changed the header colour. I think you're right and it does look better.

On desktop the graphic and the text don't overlap at all (and on my phone I view dreamwidth in desktop view because not all themes work good in mobile) so thanks for letting me know about the mobile issue. I *think* that with the colour change it makes the text a bit easier to read? Like it's not great, but hopefully it's an improvement. xD

Oh yeah I'm on desktop now and the header looks fine. I love DW but it's mobile support is...not great.

Yeah mobile on DW is certainly... something. But I guess it would be hard to have good mobile support and the amount of customizability?
